Mosaic Crochet is a colorwork technique that combines two colors to create complex and intricate designs. The secret is that you only use one color per round, no need for advanced techniques or carrying multiple yarns simultaneously.
You’ll learn how to combine color and the Mosaic Double Crochet Stitch to create captivating geometric patterns. Master seamless color changes and decipher Mosaic Crochet charts. Discuss color combinations, the history and your next project!
Bring two contrasting yarn colors and a crochet hook, for hands-on practice. Gain the skills and confidence to embark on your own Mosaic Crochet adventures.
Optional Class Project Kit available for purchase from the instructor.
Level: INTERMEDIATE: Can do basic crochet plus increase/decrease and follow basic patterns
Registration necessary, class size limited 25
Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring:
- Yarn. Suggested, 4 Medium Weight Yarn in 2 colors. For best results choose a light and a dark yarn.
- Hook- suggested, US H-8 (5mm)
- Notions bag, tapestry needle, removeable stitch markers and scissors
- Notetaking tools. Pencil and paper for notes.
