Discover the fascinating art of Kumihimo, Japanese braid making. This decorative art is a current favorite for making jewelry and a perfect complement to all kinds of fiber arts. In this class you will learn the extensive history and exciting future of Kumihimo while making a bracelet you can wear home. Students will have an opportunity to try braiding on a traditional wooden stand as well as working with the modern foam disk. Kumihimo disk and all needed supplies to make additional bracelets will be will be provided for you in the kit from teacher.

Supplies Needed: Students need to bring the following:
Scissors and some fingering or DK weight yarn in 2 of your favorite colors. Teacher will provide yarn in the kit, but you may prefer to bring your favorite colors.
Materials Fee: $12.00 payable to teacher in class, which includes: a Kumihimo disk, counterweight, fingering or DK weight yarn in two colors, and one 18mm shank button.
A 3.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.
An Admission ticket must be purchased to attend all classes
