Intimidated by the idea of knitting socks? End that silliness now in this class. Learn gusseted heel construction in a top down sock in this hands on class. A good sock is truly a foot shaped, knitted sculpture and once you understand the construction of it you are free to fearlessly sculpt that sock to fit any foot. The terrifying part is the gusset itself and you will work the heel flap and gusset in class, leaving well on your way to a finished sock. You will learn the hacks of a rabid sock knitter and prolific pattern author, leaving you confident to modify sock patterns to perfectly fit the it is designed for. And you will do it all in the “safe space” of the class, conquering your fear in a single session
Level: INTERMEDIATE (students must be able to knit, purl, cast on and bind off)

Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring:
Completed homework and stitch markers
Materials Fee: (payable to teacher) $0
Homework: A 4″ knitted cuff. 2×2 rib out of desired sock (fingering) weight yarn, using either double point or magic loop method, from provided pattern Work should still be on the needles and ready to proceed to the next step in the pattern
