Class Description:
Learn how to make your own unique Celtic Knot crocheted project with techniques used in the award winning Celtic Knot garments by Jennifer Ryan.
Students will make a Celtic Knot project (see photo) that can be appliqued on a variety of projects or worn as a pin. First we will practice in a larger form to learn how to weave the knot. Then we will use simple stitches and diagrams to achieve great results with several easy variations. Students will take home handouts of the project pattern and step-by-step instructions and tips to weave Celtic knots. A wide variety of Celtic Knot projects and photos will be on hand for inspiration, instruction and ideas.

Registration necessary, class size limited 25
Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring:
- Size 3 (DK weight) yarn (Sinfonia by Omega, I love this Cotton by Hobby Lobby, LionBrand 24/7 Cotton) – in 2 contrasting colors
- Size F/3.75mm crochet hook
- Yarn Needle
- Cork board or foam core poster board or blocking board approximately 8″ x 8″
- 30 stick pins (used for quilting/sewing)
- Pencil and highlighter
Materials Fee: (payable to teacher): $5.00 (For craft supplies provided by instructor to complete project and paper handouts)
Homework: With medium weight yarn of your choice and size H/5mm hook, ch 200
DC in 3rd chain from hook and in each chain across
This will be our practice cord for the beginning of class as we learn how to weave a Celtic Knot
