Class Description:
Take your fiber hobby to the next level and spin your own yarn. Students will learn to create yarn from fiber using a drop spindle. Students will learn how to analyze different characteristics of unspun fiber and successfully manipulate the fiber to create yarn. A discussion of plying, energized single ply yarns and their use, and setting the twist in handspun yarns will set students up to use and love using the yarns they create themselves.
Level: ALL Levels: class is of interest to all regardless of skill level

Materials Fee: (payable to teacher) $35.00 includes all fiber used in class, the drop spindle to keep and fiber to take with them to complete a first project
