Class Description:
Textured stitches are great to use in our crochet projects but so many of them require working around the post and that can be confusing. Come learn and practice a bunch of textured stitches that look great in garments, accessories and blankets but don’t require any post stitches.
Students will learn the ins and outs of each stitch and how little variations can make interesting effects. Detailed handouts (with photos) included explaining each stitch
Level: ALL LEVELS
Registration necessary, class size limited 25
Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring:
- Medium weight acrylic yarn (non dark color so you can see stitches well)
- H Hook
- 1 skein Bernat Maker (or equivalent)
- L/8mm hook
Materials Fee: (payable to teacher): $3.00
Homework:
Make 4 swatches but do not fasten off – use stitch marker to hold working loop so can continue swatch in class – Pin label to each swatch; Swatches A, B & C – make with medium weight acrylic yarn
Swatch A & B: Ch 22; Sc in 2nd ch and in each ch across
Swatch C: Ch 24; Dc in 3rd ch from hk and in each ch across
Swatch D: With Bernat Home Dec yarn and 9 mm hook, ch 25; Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; making sure Right Side facing, join with sl st to 1st sc to form a tube
