Rebecca Harmon’s grandmother taught her to crochet a chain at age 10. She has been crocheting since then and knitting since her children were babies. When she’s NOT crocheting or knitting, Rebecca is a popular speaker at professional (healthcare) meetings/conferences. Her presentations have included titles such as: “Kindness as a leadership principle” , “Rock Your Superpower at Work (The Case for Kindness)”, “The Complaint-Free Workplace”, “Perfect Your Perspective: small changes can shift you from “meh” to marvelous!” and “Ch-ch-ch-changes!”.
Rebecca feels STRONGLY that there are great life benefits to crocheting and knitting and she’s found published research to support this! She encourages other fiber artists to look at their activities as not only a hobby or craft, but as important aspects of self-care. Her goal is to promote awareness around knitting and crochet as supportive and healing modalities as well as avenues for creative expression.
