Festival Update

March 27, 28, 29, 2015

I am thrilled to share the news! Pittsburgh City Council will honor the Pittsburgh Knit and Crochet Festival with a proclamation in the Council Chambers on Tuesday, March 24th at 10:00 AM in the City County Building on the 5th floor. Please join us in this celebration if you happen to be in town.

We are also pleased to announce that we have had our submission approved by the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. The free “make it and take it craft” “Springtime Sprite, Fairy or Angel” that we are offering during the Festival has been approved for children whose stay is extensive or critical.

We invite you to make one to take home and make one for a child at Children’s Hospital while you are at the Festival. The pastoral department will distribute them to the children and their families. Thank you in advance for participating. A special thank you to Louet for providing the fiber. We will have non-wool fibers for those who have allergies to wool.

With warm regards,

We will have registration tables set up on the 3rd floor of the Westin Hotel. Coat check is also on the 3rd floor as well as the Marketplace.

If you have prepaid, you may pick up your registration packet and program in the Advanced Registration lines. No advanced tickets will be mailed.

The final day to purchase an advance admission ticket or classes online is Sunday, March 21, 2015 at NOON. All other ticket purchases will be available at the door.

Registration opens a 1/2 hour prior to market hours to allow ample time to check your belongings and get to your first class. Marketplace hours are listed below:

Friday: 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Sunday:  9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
