Kimberly J. Nixon is the owner of Sewing Original Stitches located in Midland, PA.  Kimberly started sewing at the age of 8 primarily doing garment sewing.  She continued to enhance her skills by attending local, national and global sewing classes over the years while she worked as the senior global network manager for a local fortune 100 company.  Upon retirement, she opened her quilt and sewing store to offer the next generation of sewists an opportunity to utilize the sewing studio to turn their creative ideas into fiber arts creations.   Kimberly has  a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Penn State and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Geneva College.  Additionally, she holds several certified instructor certificates such as Palmer Pletsch Fit, Studio 180 and Tucker University, and Electric Quilt 8.   In her downtime, Kim enjoys technology, traveling and spending time with her daughter and son in law.
