Festival Update

March 27, 28, 29, 2015

THE WESTIN CONVENTION CENTER PITTSBURGH

We are literally raising the curtain at the Festival to welcome StevenBe and his film crew to film some “Knittsburgh” segments at the Festival for Steven’s upcoming TV Show.

StevenBe is bringing his film crew and in order to accommodate all of the needed footage, we are shifting some of our previously scheduled activities. All of the activities that were planned to take place at the Luncheon on Friday, March 27 will be shifted to Saturday evening at Steven’s Fabulous PJ PARTYThe Fashion Show, Design Contest (with the $500.00 Best in Show Award), Mystery Gifts, and more will be held Saturday evening at the PJ Party! We are cancelling the Friday luncheon in order to schedule a “Knittsburgh” Tour with StevenBe and his film crew on Friday morning. We are in the process of putting together a fun tour with Steven and will let you know next week so you can be included in the filming of “Knittsburgh.”…Stay Tuned!!!

Class Updates and Reminders:

  • Due to the extremely high demand for the Dye Your Own Roving or Yarn class, we have added aSunday morning session with Jennifer Vancalcar.
  • With all classes, please be sure to check out preliminary work and homework required for the class you select. Some teachers have specific instructions.
  • Please note: If you are sending in your registration in the mail, please be sure to check the website prior to sending to see if the class you selected is full.
  • If you are adding a class or event to a previously submitted registration, please let us know it is an add on.
  • If you are paying for more than one person in your registration, please provide all names.
  • Don’t forget, entries for the Design Contest are due next week. We are extending the date to Feb.27.

This years demo includes the LEXI FeltLOOM® needle felting machine. You’ll have an opportunity to see how it works and what you can create with it.

Imagine designing and making your own throw pillow covers, chair covers or artwork to grace your walls. In the FeltLOOM® Freestyle Fabric Class with Jude’ Ernest, you will have the FeltLOOMs® and the instructor all to yourself in this 3 1/2 hour class, which gives you enough time to walk away with a designer piece to compliment your home.

Stay Warm,

Barb
