Karen Womack is a quilt maker and teacher based in Pittsburgh.  She began sewing at age 6 and started quilting in her mid-twenties as a way to meet new people in a new city.

Karen’s teaching specialty is the fundamentals.  Her workshops focus not only on technical expertise but problem solving.  She taught quilting at Joann Fabrics Monroeville and now teaches for guilds, private clients and quilt shows.

Karen is a board member of The Modern Quilt Guild, past President of the Pittsburgh Modern Quilt Guild and past President of Quilt Company East Quilt Guild.  She appears in two segments of Fresh Quilting TV, Season 2 produced by The Modern Quilt Guild.  Follow Karen on Instagram @karenwquilts and website www.KarenWQuilts.com
