Julie Zaichuk-Ryan is a recently-returned Pittsburgh native who has spent most of her life abroad and has been stitching in one form or another since she was a child. Julie is passionate about all traditional needlework techniques, including bobbin lacemaking, but none more so than hand-stitched patchwork. She has been spreading this passion through teaching since 2015, and will do anything to convince you to give it a try. Julie writes and edits quilt and craft patterns; her patchwork patterns have been featured in Fat Quarterly, Make Modern and the book “Fat Quarters: Small Fabrics, More Than 50 Big Ideas”.
