Colleen earned her Knitting Instructor’s Certificates with the Craft Yarn Council of America (CYCA) at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City. She has studied and continues to study with nationally recognized knitting and crochet teachers.
She has been teaching knitting and crochet for over 10 years. She teaches at Community Colleges, Michael’s Arts & Crafts, Libraries, knitting guilds, knitting and fiber stores and other local venues in the Pittsburgh region. She has also taught at the Pittsburgh Knit, Crochet and Creative Arts Festival for several years and always supplies tremendously helpful information and handouts. She has been a Kollage Needle Rep for Louet. She loves teaching people of all ages, especially children, and has taught Scout Troops and other small groups.
Before Colleen entered the yarn and fiber world, she was a Humans Resources Manager in the Pittsburgh area.
