Class Description:
Build your Tunisian Crochet skills and learn how to make circles and loops with the Tunisian Simple Stitch. During class we’ll work In-the-Round only, with no seams. You’ll learn how to use a double-ended hook and simple increases to make a three-dimensional tube and flat circle.
During class we’ll practice with a make-and-take class project. The Cup Cozy and Trivet are small projects with all the foundation skills for garments. Experience both In-the-Round techniques to make seamless circles and seamless loops. We’ll cover the benefits of seamless, in-the-round construction and how to avoid common mistakes.
By the end of class, you’ll have lots of experience working In-the-Round. You’ll feel confident to make your first Tunisian Crochet wearable!
This class is taught at the beginner level, if you can Tunisian Simple Stitch this class is for you.
Optional Class Project Kit available for purchase from the instructor.

Registration necessary, class size limited 25
Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring:
- Yarn. Two Colors of yarn. Suggested, 4 Medium Weight Yarn in a light and dark color.
- Double-Ended Tunisian Crochet Hook. Suggested, USH-8 (5mm) hook. Working In-the-Round REQUIRES a doubled ended Tunisian Crochet Hook. Suggested a short, 6-inch doubled-ended hook
- Notions bag. Tapestry needle, removable stitch markers and scissors.
- Notetaking tools. Pencil and paper.
Materials Fee: (payable to teacher) Optional class project kit available for purchase from the instructor
Homework: None required.
