Class Description:

You know how to spin, now what?  This hands on workshop discusses and practices various ply techniques including wrapping and Navajo ply to create a 3 ply yarn from a single ply.  You will try various exotic fibers and learn how to discern the  setting to use for various fibers and effects.  Students will also learn about wheel ratios and settings to achieve maximum performance for their wheel, as well as tips for analyzing and correcting issues as they occur.

Level:  BEGINNERS – students must be able to comfortably spin a single ply yarn on a spinning wheell

Registration necessary, class size limited 16

Supplies Needed:  Students will need to bring:

Spinning Wheel, 2 bobbins 1/2 full with a single ply yarn (2 different colors is preferable but not necessary), a 3rd empty bobbin, Lazy Kate

Materials Fee: (payable to teacher)  $30.00 supplies include 8 oz total of fiber, wool and exotic.

Homework:  None

A 4.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.

An Admission ticket must be purchased to attend all classes
