Class Title: Small Rounds + Two at a Time
Teacher Name: Jolie A. Elder
Class Length: 3 hours
Class Fee: $60.00
Class Day/Time: Thursday, Noon to 3:00 PM
What’s your favorite way to knit small circumferences in the round? In this class, we will explore knitting in the round with double-point needles, a small circular needle, two circular needles and a magic loop. We’ll even look at some very clever ways to make big i-cords (such as glove fingers) and how to work two tubes (socks, anyone?) at the same time. By the end of the class, you’ll know what you do and don’t like! If you are a new knitter, this class can save you money. Hint: you do not need a circular needle in every length increment.
Level: INTERMEDIATE: Should already know how to knit in the round
Registration necessary, class size limited to 20
- class yarn (smooth, non-splitting, light or bright or medium color)
- double pointed needles to work that yarn
- an 8″ or 9″ micro-circular needle (Addi, Clover, or Hiya Hiya make these)
- two circular needles of the same size needle tip (length may be different)
- one circular needle at least 32″ long
- stitch markers
- crochet hook
Note: This class is a great excuse to invest in an interchangeable needle set. If you are taking the class to audition options before making a purchase, you can share with the instructor rather than making all these purchases ahead of class.
Materials Fee: None
Homework: No homework, per se. If you want to get ahead, you can cast on 20 stitches in the round and knit a few rounds in stockinette using double pointed needles
A 4.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.
An Admission ticket must be purchased to attend all classes
