Class Title:  Painting on Wool – Fiber Art/Surface Design

Teacher Name: Anita Hotchkiss

Class Length: 2 hours

Class Fee: $30.00

Class Day/Time: Saturday, 9:00 am to 11:00 am

Class Description:

Do you wish you could create your own art but can’t paint? Then painting with wool is for you. Needle felting is the perfect technique for creating one of kind pieces. The felting needle is a very versatile tool, a dry felting process that allows you to attach different fibers to other fibers and fabric. We will discuss fibers and techniques used to create your 2-dimensional wool painting as well as adding 3-dimensional elements to your picture. You will receive a hand-dyed piece of wool felt and other fibers to create your own “wool painting”. This technique is also referred to as surface design. It can be done on almost any fabric, creating a perfect accent to your quilt tops.

PLEASE NOTE:

If you have a wool allergy, this may not be a suitable class.
