Class Description:

Mosaic Crochet is a 2-color technique to create geometric patterns.  This is an introduction to Mosaic Crochet; you will learn how to combine basic stitches to make space for color changes.  In this class you will learn which color to use, how to combine chain, single crochet and double crochet stitches, and how to read a Mosaic Crochet Chart.  By the end of the class, you will know the Mosaic Crochet basics ad be ready to pick your next Mosaic Crochet project.

Level:  INTERMEDIATE:  Beginner level plus increase/decrease and follow basic patterns

Registration necessary, class size limited 30

Supplies Needed:  Students will need to bring:

The supplies to make a swatch and practice with.

Yarn: Bring 2 colors, a light and a dark color (high contrast) in the same yarn weight family. Approximately 1oz/30g 55yds/50 #4 medium worsted weight, smooth texture of each coclor.

Crochet Hook size: US I-J, 5.5-6mm

Notions bag.  Pencil and paper to take notes

Materials Fee: (payable to teacher)  None

Homework:  Optional:  Look at Mosaic Crochet patterns.  If you have an aspirational pattern, bring it with you to look at and discuss
