Class Description:
Have you ever knit a narrow strip, entrelac, or a 10-stitch blanket and wondered if there is an easier way – where you didn’t have to turn your work so frequently? Welcome to mirror knitting! Mirror knitting is simply knitting backwards – and it can speed up any small stitch count knitting by allowing you to always work with the right side facing you. Join us for this class on how to knit backwards – and learn a new knitting trick!
Level: INTERMEDIATE
Registration necessary, class size limited to 20
Supplies Needed:
- About 25 yards of worsted weight yarn (same yarn used for homework.)
- Needles used for homework.
- Crochet hook, about size US 7.
- One size 5/8″ button (optional for class, will need to finish project)
Materials Fee: None
Homework:
Using a smooth, light-color, worsted weight yarn and appropriately sized needles (size 7 or 8), cast on 25 sts. Work 10 rows in stockinette st. Leave knitting on needles.
