Back by popular demand, this class is sweeping the country. Due to the huge assortment of jelly rolls from all of the fabric companies and the availability of recent pre-cut batting strips, you can finally make one.
Join Laura as she shows you how to make this fun, functional rug with the Katahdon on a Roll batting and one of your favorite Jelly Rolls. Once you learn how to make one, you’ll be making one for each person in your family, your friends and maybe you’ll sell one or two also.
Level: This class is open to all levels, but you must have basic sewing machine skills.
Registration necessary, class size limited
An iron, ironing mat, cutting mat and rotary cutters will be available for use in class, however, plan to bring a pair of scissors and pins to class also.
Supplies and Materials needed:
You need one jelly roll (40-42 coordinating strips of fabric 2.5 inches wide) and about 1200 yards of thread. The rug uses about 50 yards of pre-cut batting strips, which will be provided in the materials from instructor.
Jeans needles, size 14 to 18 are recommended.
Bring scissors, pins or clips.
Materials Fee: None, if you are bringing your own materials and pattern. Both the batting and pattern will be available for purchase from the teacher, if the student needs either. The cost for the pattern is $10.00 and Pre cut batting will be $12.50 for the 25 yard roll. The student will need 2 batting rolls for the pattern size of 42 strip jell roll, payable to teacher in class.
An Admission ticket must be purchased to attend all classes
A 3.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.
