Class Title:  Introduction to Interleave

Class Day/Time: Friday 2pm-5pm

Class Description:

Once you learn this innovation piecing technique, the skies the limit with what you can do!  We will learn 2 basic interleave techniques, then explore many ways you can make it your own!

Level: Intermediate

Registration necessary, class size limited 15

Pfaff sewing machines will be provided for you in class by Thornton Co.

An iron, ironing mat, cutting mat and rotary cutters will be available for use in class, however, plan to bring a pair of scissors and pins to class also.

Supplies Needed: Students need to bring the following:

For each interleave you will need (we should be able to start 2 in class)

4 fat quarters for the top of the project.  Fabrics must have high contrast for the designs to pop.  Solids or small scale prints suggested

1 fat quarter for backing

1/4 yard for binding or facing


24″ long ruler



Materials Fee:  $12 includes fusible interfacing and handouts

Homework:  None
