Class Title: Demystifying Value and Color
Teacher Name: Bev Beatty
Class Length: 3 hours
Class Fee: $40.00
Class Day/Time: Sunday, 1:00PM to 4:00PM
Class Description:
Painters are often frustrated because they are unable to mix the exact color they want. Also, many do not realize that you can paint something any color you desire as long as the value is correct. In the crazy color example, the painting still ” reads” right because of the correct values. This class has a two-fold purpose:
1. Understanding what value is. By using paint chips and a red gel, participants will create a simple picture in the correct values using paint samples.
2. Learning how to successfully mix colors you really want using only a warm and cool red, a warm and cool blue, and a warm and cool yellow, plus white.
After the instruction, participants will have hands-on experience mixing specific colors.
