Class Title: Beyond the Afghan: Using a Crochet Stitch Dictionary to Create Unique Projects
Teacher Name: Cathy Robbins
Class Length: 3 hours
Class Fee: $40.00
Class Day/Time: Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
It’s so much fun to browse through crochet stitch dictionaries and collections, but it can be challenging to figure out how to apply them in actual projects. This class focuses on how to use stitch patterns, swatches and basic math skills to calculate stitch counts and actually develop a crochet pattern for a complete project. Whether it’s a basic rectangular afghan or more complex project with increases and decreases, you will work on the actual calculations for your project, which includes determining yarn yardage requirements and making adjustments for gauge.
Skills Required: Intimate knowledge of crochet stitches; ability to read patterns; basic math skills.
