Have you ever tried to learn how to knit but just couldn’t get it? If you are a crocheter and would like to give it another try, I would love to show you the secrets that I recently learned that got this crocheter over the hump! In this class we will learn how to cast on, to knit and to purl – all using the Continental Method This style of knitting is similar to crocheting in many ways and transitions very quickly for the seasoned crocheter.
Prerequisite: Crocheter should already be familiar with the basic crochet stitches: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet, half-double crochet and treble crochet.
Level: ALL LEVELS
Registration necessary, class size limited 15
Supplies Needed: Students will need to bring:
One skein/ball of extra chunky (#6) yarn. Wool works best due to its ability to stretch for the needles.
Circular knitting needles Size US 13 (with 16 inch cable or longer). I prefer wooden needles for starting. Using circular needles will feel a lot like a crochet hook.
Materials Fee: (payable to teacher) None
A 4.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.
An Admission ticket must be purchased to attend all classes
