Class Description:
In this 3 hour class you will get a quick version and some ‘cheat’ techniques to illustrating. You begin the class by loosing up and doodling. After a few short minutes of that, the class will go into learning how to use the various tools, multiple pencils for different effects, design rulers, etc. You will look through tear sheets to create a sample file Begin fleshing out a skeleton, use tracing as a tool, then add highlights and shading. Very basic fabric identification so you can sketch fabrics. your final project will e to draw a full color croquis with garments.

Materials Fee: (payable to teacher) $15.00 Instructor will provide everything. You will get a basic art kit you can take with you besides using instructor’s supplies.

– 1 Spiral booklet especially made for this workshop filled with helpful pages, various drawing papers, fashion notes, image tear sheets and more.
– Drawing pencils
– Basic colored pencils
– Blending stump
– Kneaded eraser
– Pencil sharpener

Instructor will also provide other various tools to use during workshop such as:

Homework: No homework but if you want, you can bring your own photo samples of garments and accessories. Perhaps something that you knitted, crocheted or sewn.
