Class Title: 3-Hour Sweater: Intro to Crochet Garments
Teacher Name: Valerie Moreno
Class Length: 3 hours
Class Fee: $50.00
Class Day/Time: Saturday, 9:00AM to Noon
Class Description:
This class is for you if you’ve ever wanted to make a sweater – but didn’t know where to start. Together, we’ll start at the beginning and make a sweater. You’ll learn sweater anatomy, garment construction and how to work from a written pattern.
This is a skill-building class with hands-on practice. The make-and-take project is a sweater! It’s a mini sweater but you’ll do all the same construction and shaping as an adult-size. Working in double crochets, you’ll start at the top collar and work down. Crochet the sweater in-the-round so there’s no piecing or seams. During class ask all your burning questions about construction, picking the right size and anything else you need to know to start your first wearable sweater!
At the end of class, you’ll have a mini sweater! Feel confident that you made a garment start-to-finish. You’ll be ready to pick your first sweater to make and wear!
