We have a lot going on in the Maker Space sponsored by Clover USA 

A Clover, USA educator will be onsite offering a different make and take activity each day for fabric and yarn lovers. All activities are FREE and will be on a drop in basis, however, seating will be limited.

 


A Garden Party with Clover

Clover will be offering several FREE Make and Take Flower crafts to get you started on your Summer/Fall decorations.

Always wanted to learn to knit or crochet?  Now’s your chance!!

FREE Learn to Knit and Learn to Crochet Classes, will be taught by the Bethany Community Ministries volunteers!                                                 

There will be multiple times during each day of the festival to learn to knit or crochet.  Stop by the Maker Space to sign up.

Sign up sheets for Thursday, Friday and Saturday sessions will be available in the Maker Space each day.

Seating is limited and students will be taken on a first come, first serve basis.

Students need to bring US size 8, 9, 10 or 11 knitting needles or Crochet hook size H, I, J, or K and worsted weight yarn.

 

Bethany Community Ministries Homewood is transforming lives thru service.  On of their initiatives is The Shawl Project which began in 2013 making shawls, blankets and afghans for sick and shut-in residents.  In 2020, due to Covid-19 they shifted to making masks and have distributed over 4000 masks!  To learn more go to http://bbccommunity.org

                                       


911 Tribute Quilt

Carol Mesimer’s Pentagon shaped 9-11 Tribute Quilt titled ‘Remember Me’ will be on display all weekend. The quilt was made after the 9-11 tragedy and has been displayed in Houston, Chicago, Virginia and The Netherlands. The name of every victim from that tragic day are hand-written on individually attached strips.


All materials provided for use in the Maker Space by our sponsor, Clover.   Clover supplies will be available for purchase in the Maker Space,  Songbird Artistry Booth and Created 4 U by Laura’s booth

An admission ticket must be purchased to attend any classes or special events.
