Class Title: Step-by-Step Stonington

Teacher Name: Jennifer Ferrence

Class Length: 3 hours

Class Fee:  $40.00

Class Day/Time:  Saturday, 9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Class Description: The following skills will be taught while studying the Stonington pattern in-depth and walking through the directions step-by-step:



-Yarn over increases

-Incorporating stitch patterns

-Picking up stitches

-Modular knitting: creating triangles, squares, trapezoids without binding off and sewing seams

-Knitting on an edging

-Basics of Knitting Lace

Level: Beginner through advanced/ prerequisites are knitting, purling, casting on, binding off

Registration necessary, class size limited to 25

Supplies Needed: 

2000-2500 yards lace weight or fingering weight yarn,

47 inch circular needles in size to achieve desired drape (generally a size 4 for lace weight and a size 7 for fingering weight)

One ball of DK to worsted weight yarn with corresponding needles for practicing

Tapestry needle


paper and pencil or design notebook and pencil

Book: Knitting Workshop, by Elizabeth Zimmerman

Materials Fee: $5.00, payable to instructor in class

Homework: Prepare skeins of yarn so they are ready to knit with, in other words, wind skeins into balls.

A 3.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.

An Admission ticket must be purchased to attend all classes
