Class description:

Let’s get together to make this bright scrap quilt. This wall hanging with its’ vibrate colors will brighten up your home. Three colors and their opposites blend together to give that feeling of an illuminating night sky. The technique used will be paper piecing. Skill level advanced: experience making quilts.

Registration necessary, class size limited to 14

Supplies Needed:
Finished block size: 5 ½”
Number of blocks needed: 9

Basic quilting supplies:
Scissors, quilting machine needles size 11, black bobbin thread,
3 wounded bobbins, glue stick, ruler, rotary cutter and cutting

Harmony Featured
Three colors and their color wheel opposites

Example colors used
Violet, Blue-Violet, Blue, Yellow, Yellow-Orange, Orange
**Select your own favorite three colors and their opposites

¾ yard total of violet, blue-violet, and blue prints/solids or colors of your choice
½ yard dark blue-violet or colors of your choice
¾ yard total of yellow, yellow-orange, and orange prints/solids or colors of your choice
1/8 yard yellow-orange print/solids or colors of your choice
7/8 yard backing fabric
3/8 yard binding fabric
28” square of batting


If you are bringing your own machine, it must be in good working order. You may store it for no charge throughout the weekend at the designated festival coat check. 

An assortment of Pfaff sewing machines will be provided by ThorntonCo.
