Felted Flowers with Sophie Hood

Class Title: Felted Flowersfelted-flowers-sophie-hoodfelted-flowers-sophie

Teacher: Sophie Hood

Class Day/Time: Friday, 1:00 to 3:30 pm

Class Length: 2.5 hours

Class Fee: $30.00

Class Description:

Learn how to wet felt flowers and embellishments. We will spend 2.5 hours playing with wool, learning to felt and how to create different shapes – leaves, petals, tendrils, curly-ques, and balls – using wet felting methods. We will then use the shapes that we have crafted to make a fully realized flower brooch using some simple embroidery stitching and beading techniques to tie it all together! You will have enough materials to make at least two brooches. Students with a wool allergy should not participate in this class.

Registration necessary, class size limited to 14

Supplies Needed: All felting and crafting supplies will be provided by the instructor and will be included as part of the materials fee. Please bring a towel — you might get a little wet! If you have a hair dryer, please bring this as well to aid in drying our felted items faster. (We will have some as well). Please bring your own scissors too!

Materials Fee: $20.00, payable to teacher in class

Homework:  None

A 3.00 electronic administrative fee will be added for all online registration transactions.
