Class Description:

Go beyond the fundamentals of lace by knitting this 24 row Ostrich Plume pattern!

It looks difficult, but it is easy to remember.  You can create a scarf, shawl or a blanket.

In this class, you’ll learn to combine four (4) different increase and decrease stitches to create a lovely lace pattern. Learn to Read a Pattern, Repeat Patterns, Review a Chart and Learn to Read and Understand a Yarn Label. We’ll discuss blocking your lace project.

Once you know how to knit and purl, knitting becomes even more fun when you learn to increase and decrease to create beautiful lace patterns!  Lace knitting is a combination of increases and decreases.  While it may look intricate, it is simple. Students must know how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off.

Registration necessary, class size limited to 20.

Materials Needed:

– Worsted Weight Yarn, Smooth, Solid Color

– Size 8 (5mm) Knitting Needles (Straight or Circular)

– Stitch Markers
